Some answers to the most frequently asked questions.

When is Dry Doc's open?
You have access to your storage unit and your belongings 24 hours a day,
7 days a week.

Do you have units available?
Our unit inventory is constantly fluctuating. Please phone us at (715) 479-2515 for our current availability, or you can e-mail us here with your unit size needs.

What do I need to do to rent a unit?
You will need to make an appointment to fill out a lease agreement, pay your security deposit and your first month's rent, and get your unit key.

How much storage space do I need?
It all depends on how much 'stuff' you have and how big your 'stuff' is, but a general rule of thumb is:

10' x 10' (Small - 100 sq. ft. - approx. 8ft. ceilings): will hold the contents of a one- to two-bedroom apartment

10' x 20' (Medium - 200 sq. ft. - approx. 8ft. ceilings): will hold the contents of a three- to four-bedroom apartment or house; or a small boat, personal watercraft or snowmobile on a trailer or a small vehicle.

10' x 25' (Large - 250 sq. ft. - approx. 8ft. ceilings): will hold the contents of a three- to four-bedroom apartment or house; or a boat, personal watercraft or snowmobile on a trailer or a vehicle.

10' x 30' (Extra Large - 300 sq. ft. - approx. 8ft. ceilings): will hold the contents of a four- to five-bedroom house; or a boat, personal watercraft or snowmobile on a trailer or a vehicle.

10' x 30' (Jumbo - 300 sq. ft. - approx. 10ft. ceiling): this is our biggest unit with the biggest door opening. It will hold the contents of a four- to five-bedroom house; or a boat, multiple personal watercraft or snowmobiles on a trailer or a large vehicle.

Can I use my own lock?
Dry Doc's provides you with a low-profile cylinder lock that fits into a special opening in our roll-up doors. This lock is made of hardened steel and is flush with the door so it resists being tampered with or cut off with a bolt cutter like a typical padlock. You may also use your own lock if you choose.

How do I use the low-profile cylinder lock?
You will receive a set of instructions on how to use the lock as part of your lease agreement signing. Click here for a copy of the instructions (750KB). You will need the free Adobe® Acrobat Reader software to view this document.

Do I need my own insurance?
Yes. All property stored within the unit is stored at your own risk. Please consult with your insurance agent to obtain the required coverage for your possessions.

Are the units climate controlled?
No. Dry Doc's does not have units with climate controlled interiors. We suggest storing sensitive possessions on pallets to allow air circulation as our concrete floors may sweat under certain atmospheric conditions.

Is there electricity in my unit?
No heat, electricity or other utilities are provided.

How do I let Dry Doc's know my address has changed?
Please send us a letter or an e-mail advising us of the change. Click here to go to our contact page for our address or to send an e-mail. See your lease agreement for more details.

How do I cancel my lease?
Your lease runs from month-to-month and is automatically extended at the end of each month. You must notify Dry Doc's either by mail or e-mail at least 10 days prior to the end of the month to notify us that you intend to vacate your unit. Click here to go to our contact page for our address or to send an e-mail. See your lease agreement for more details.
